History

U-Ocean, Inc., is the marine forwarding division of U-Freight Philippines, Inc., which until January 1978 was known as Sceptre International Forwarder. From the time of its creation, U-Freight Philippines, enjoyed a continuous and sustained growth, so that in the year 1983, business consideration made it imperative to transform its ocean operation into a separate corporation body.
U-Ocean, Inc., obtained its registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission on July 29, 1983. With its objective of improving its facilities and adding allied services in order to compliment ocean freight forwarding and thus provide optimum service to its clientele in all phases of freight forwarding marked the beginning of U OCEAN, INC.

Quality Policy

U-Ocean, Inc. and every member of its management and staff form the service company that believes in QUALITY, and must maintain a quality system that will ensure satisfaction of customers’ requirements and other interested parties.

Our primary quality objective is to be consistent with zero incidence of service failures in every phase of our activity. We place first in our quality improvement and measurement the timeliness in cargo pick-up and transfer as we closely monitor our adherence to customer-specified routing orders, cargo security, accuracy, completeness and timely dispatch of house bill of lading and related export and import shipping documents. Correspondingly, we also make sure that customers are well informed on real time basis through interconnectivity of our respective information systems. To meet this standard, we have committed ourselves to:

• Plan all our business activities timely and accurately to ensure proper allocation and management of our resources.
• Recognize the most important asset of the company being our people who must be continuously trained, motivated to encourage involvement, rewarded for high achievements and provided with good working conditions;
